Le sorgho, cette céréale aux multiples atouts, continue de gagner en importance dans le paysage agro-industriel européen.

Cap sur Budapest

La Hongrie est l’un des principaux producteurs européens de sorgho en 2024 avec près de 50 000 hectares de cultures et une augmentation très importante des surfaces cultivées au cours des quatre dernières années. Budapest accueillera le 4e Congrès européen du sorgho cette année et permettra à tous d’y découvrir les vertus de cette céréale et ses nombreux usages.

Dotée d’une industrie de transformation du sorgho parmi les plus développées en Europe, notamment dans le secteur de l’alimentation animale, les perspectives et success-stories hongroises seront mises à l’honneur lors de ce congrès agro-industriel européen majeur.

Plus de 30 intervenants

Chercheurs, économistes, industriels de la transformation, agronomes, semenciers, climatologues, généticiens : une trentaine d’intervenants venus des cinq continents seront présents pour échanger sur les derniers produits et recettes élaborés, les avancées techniques de culture et les défis de la filière sorgho.

Une mobilisation importante

Cette édition qui se tiendra à Budapest accueillera une importante mobilisation du secteur et particulièrement de l’industrie de l’alimentation animale avec plus de 200 congressistes attendus. Agriculteurs, associations de producteurs, coopératives, entreprises agricoles, sélectionneurs de semences, instituts de recherche, experts scientifiques et représentants des industries de transformation seront réunis afin d’échanger et de se renseigner sur les produits destinés à l’alimentation humaine et à l’alimentation animale mais également sur la production d’énergie propre sous forme de biogaz ou d’éthanol.
