“Sorghum Can Be a Beneficial Crop”
At the European Sorghum Conference, Markus Wiltafsky-Martin, Managing Director with Evonik Industries used the company’s world database to discuss the composition of sorghum and share the lessons learnt from large-scale analyses thereof.
As a global benchmark company in specialty chemistry, Evonik Industries stands out through its expertise and its commitment to numerous industries, including feed.
At the heart of Evonik’s activities is a department specializing in food additives – but its role goes well beyond the mere supply of products. The company also works closely with feed industry operators through an extensive international lab network focusing on raw materials and ingredients. More than a million samples are analyzed in these labs every year, generating valuable data on the quality and make-up of inputs used throughout the world.
It is within that context that the presentation made by Markus Wiltafsky-Martin, Managing Director with Evonik Industries, took place during the European Sorghum Conference. Using the company’s global database, he took an in-depth look into the composition of sorghum and shared lessons learnt from large-scale studies on the topic. In addition to his exceptional contribution – which enabled the public to better understand raw materials and how to follow and support the developments in the industry – Markus Wiltafsky-Martin agreed to answer a couple of questions regarding the future of sorghum.
